I graduated with a BA in Television and Radio Production with 1st Class Honours at The University of Salford in 2018, accompanied with experience from reputable production companies such as BBC, ITV and Nine Lives Media, completing professional contracts, gaining various work placements, as well as being employed by both the BBC and ITV as a production runner and production assistant on programmes such as The Voice UK.

I previously worked on programmes such as Cruise TV on the freeview channel 'Really'; as well as undertaking consultancy roles and projects for clients with my own team, producing high end promotional content.

I also have held positions in the radio, theatre, cinema, retail, event and hospitality industries; mostly technical roles, but also in high performance hospitality situations, such as at the private suites at Manchester Arena and international media festivals. By working in this large array of different industries, I have gained a strong contact and client book over the years.

I also act as a background extra on films for productions such as Marvels Morbius, as well as lead and supporting roles in several amateur theatrical productions. This gave me experience from another viewpoint, enabling me to communicate better with talent when envisaging projects and productions. I am confident and approachable with a driven approach to work, working well as a leader as well as part of team. I have completed all BBC Safeguarding Modules, Channel 4 Production Modules and an array of BBC and ITV Training Courses.

Whilst at the BBC, I was part of a then small team planning to integrate short form video into BBCs Online platform. We implemented the pilot of the Talent Roadshow (BBC Short Form), showcasing local talent in West Yorkshire to BBC executives; as well as Nurturing established 'YouTubers' to become more well known to their audiences.

 

This was a large scale project across all platforms with a high number of BBC stakeholders. Following this project an entire department was created, resulting in aiding successes such as the revival of 'Dangermouse'. Whilst on this placement, our project worked alongside BBC Sport, BBC Three, CBBC and its drama and comedy counterparts. My role involved me Conducting Research for locations and scouting potential talent. I liaised with groups and organisations securing PR; and editing Publicity photography for distribution online and nationwide. I also travelled on Location in Leeds and Bradford to conclude the project as a production assistant.
